How do I add or edit customer notes for an appointment?

Open the appointment details in CleanSlot and edit the Customer notes section under Notes.

You add or edit customer notes from the appointment details in CleanSlot. They appear under Notes in the Customer notes area. These are notes the customer may have entered when booking, or that you add (e.g. special requests). Only owners can edit them.

How to add or edit customer notes in CleanSlot

  1. Go to Appointments and click the appointment (or Details).
  2. In the details modal, scroll to the Notes section.
  3. Under Customer notes, click Edit (or type in the box if it is already in edit mode).
  4. Type or change the note. You can leave it empty to clear existing notes.
  5. Click Save.

Customer notes are visible to your team and may be included in confirmations or reminders. They are separate from Staff notes, which are internal only and never shown to the customer.

Why edit customer notes?

Customers sometimes add notes when booking (e.g. "Please use the back entrance"). You may need to correct a typo, add a detail they gave by phone, or remove something that no longer applies. Keeping customer notes up to date ensures your team and any automated messages have the right information.
