You change an appointment’s status from the Appointments list or from the appointment details in CleanSlot. The Status dropdown lets you set Booked, Completed, Cancelled, or Awaiting confirmation.
Where to change appointment status in CleanSlot
From the list:
- Go to Appointments.
- In the table (or card list), find the Status column for the appointment.
- Open the Status dropdown and choose Booked, Completed, Cancelled, or Awaiting confirmation. The change saves immediately.
From the details modal:
- Go to Appointments and click the appointment (or Details).
- At the top of the details, open the Status dropdown and select the new status. The change saves immediately.
Only owners can change status from the list or in the details. Staff can open details but cannot change the status dropdown.
What each status means
- Booked. The appointment is confirmed and scheduled. Use this after the customer confirms or when you are not using the confirmation flow.
- Completed. The job was done. Use this when you have finished the appointment; the Payment button appears for completed appointments so you can charge or record payment.
- Cancelled. The appointment is cancelled and the slot is free. Use this when the customer or you cancels.
- Awaiting confirmation. The customer needs to confirm or cancel (e.g. after you rescheduled to a different day or changed the price). CleanSlot can set this automatically when you make those changes; you can also set it yourself if you want the customer to confirm.
Why change status?
Updating status keeps your calendar and reports accurate. Marking appointments Completed when the job is done lets you use the Payment button to charge or record payment. Cancelled frees the slot so you can book someone else. Awaiting confirmation makes it clear the customer still needs to respond after a change.
