How do I complete setup to start accepting bookings?

Use the onboarding checklist in CleanSlot to set your business name, slug, schedule, and Stripe so you can accept bookings.

CleanSlot shows a setup checklist when you first start. Finish each step so your booking page and availability work correctly and you can accept bookings and payments.

Where to find the setup checklist in CleanSlot

If your account is not yet fully set up, you will see Onboarding or Complete your setup in the sidebar or when you sign in. Open it to see the checklist.

What you need to complete

Complete these five items (in any order):

  1. Business name. Set your business name in Business settings. This name appears to customers on your booking page.
  2. Booking URL slug. Set your slug in Business settings. The slug is the part of your booking link that identifies your business (e.g. your-company in yoursite.com/your-company/book).
  3. Customer service email. Set your customer service email in Business settings. CleanSlot uses it for notifications and so customers can reply to you.
  4. Set your schedule. Go to Schedule and add your weekly business hours. Customers can only book when you have availability.
  5. Connect Stripe. In Business settings, connect your Stripe account so you can accept payments when customers book (optional but recommended).

Each item has a button that takes you to the right place. When an item is done, you will see a checkmark. When all required steps are complete, you can start accepting bookings.

If you do not see the checklist

If you have already finished setup, the checklist may be hidden and you will go straight to the Dashboard. You can still change any of these settings later from Business settings and Schedule.

Why complete setup before accepting bookings?

Until your business name, slug, and schedule are set, your booking page either will not work or will show incorrect or empty availability. The customer service email ensures confirmation and reminder emails come from you and customers can reply. Connecting Stripe lets you get paid when you charge for appointments. Taking a few minutes to complete the checklist avoids confused customers and missed bookings.
