When you reschedule an appointment (change it to a different day) or change the price, CleanSlot automatically sends the customer an email with a link. This article describes what they see when they open that link and how they confirm or cancel. It is written for you (the business) so you can explain it to customers or troubleshoot.
What the customer sees when they open the link
After clicking the link in the email, the customer lands on a CleanSlot page that shows:
- Confirm your appointment changes as the heading
- Your business name
- The service name
- The new date and time
- The total (price)
- Address and notes if you added them
Below that, two buttons:
- Confirm changes. Accepts the new date, time, and details. The appointment becomes Booked and the customer may get a confirmation email.
- Cancel appointment. Cancels the appointment. The slot is freed in your calendar.
What the customer does
- The customer opens the link (on phone or computer). The page shows the updated appointment details.
- They choose one of the two options:
- Confirm changes if the new time works. They see a message that the appointment is confirmed.
- Cancel appointment if they cannot make it. They see a message that the appointment has been cancelled.
- No login is required. The link is unique to that appointment and is intended for one-time use.
If the link does not work
The page may show "This link is invalid or has already been used" if:
- The link has already been used (they already confirmed or cancelled).
- The link has expired.
- The link was mistyped or truncated.
In that case, the customer can contact you. You can make the change again in CleanSlot (reschedule to a different day or change the price); CleanSlot will send a new email with a fresh link.
Why this flow helps you and the customer
The customer can confirm or cancel in one step without creating an account or calling you. You see the result in CleanSlot: the appointment moves to Booked or Cancelled, so your schedule stays accurate and you avoid no-shows or double bookings.
