For appointments that are part of a recurring series (e.g. weekly or monthly cleaning), CleanSlot lets you choose whether your edit applies to this occurrence only or to this and all future occurrences. You make that choice at the top of the appointment details before editing.
Where you see Edit appointment vs. Edit series in CleanSlot
- Go to Appointments and click a recurring appointment (or Details). Recurring appointments show a label such as Weekly or Monthly in the list.
- At the top of the details modal you will see Edit appointment and Edit series (or similar). One is selected by default.
What each option does
- Edit appointment. Your changes apply only to this appointment. Other occurrences in the series are unchanged. Use this when one week is different (e.g. different time or cancelled) but the rest of the series stays the same.
- Edit series. Your changes apply to this appointment and all future occurrences in the series. Use this when the recurring time, price, or service changes going forward (e.g. switch from weekly to biweekly, or change the price for all future visits).
After you choose Edit appointment or Edit series, edit the section you need (Scheduling, Address, Service and pricing, Notes, etc.) and click Save. CleanSlot applies the save to one occurrence or the series according to your choice.
Why it matters
If you change the time for "this one only" and save, only that date updates. If you change the time with Edit series and save, every future occurrence in the series updates so you do not have to edit each one. Choosing the wrong mode can cause confusion (e.g. changing one date but expecting the whole series to change), so check which option is selected before saving.
