How do I record a manual payment (cash, check, etc.)?

Open Payment for the completed appointment in CleanSlot, choose Record manual payment, enter the amount and status (e.g. Paid), and save.

You record a manual payment (cash, check, or other off-line payment) from the Payment dialog for that appointment in CleanSlot. Choose Record manual payment, enter the amount and status (e.g. Paid), and save. Only owners can record manual payments.

How to record a manual payment in CleanSlot

  1. Set the appointment status to Completed if it is not already.
  2. In the Appointments list, click Payment for that appointment.
  3. In the payment dialog, choose Record manual payment (instead of Charge with Stripe).
  4. Enter the Amount (in your currency) and select the Status (e.g. Paid if you have already collected; or another status if you are tracking it differently).
  5. Click Save. The payment is recorded for this appointment and the list can show it as paid depending on status.

Manual payments do not charge a card; they only record that you received (or expect) payment outside of CleanSlot. Use this when the customer pays cash, check, or another method that is not going through Stripe.

Why record manual payments?

Recording manual payments keeps your CleanSlot history accurate so you know which appointments are paid and how much was collected. It also helps with reporting and with filtering to appointments that are still unpaid (those without a successful or manual paid record).
