How do I reschedule an existing appointment with a customer?

Edit the Scheduling section in the appointment details in CleanSlot; changing to a different day triggers a confirmation email to the customer.

You reschedule an appointment by opening it and editing the Scheduling section in CleanSlot. When you change the appointment to a different day (or change the price), CleanSlot automatically sets the status to Awaiting confirmation and sends the customer an email with a link to confirm or cancel.

How to reschedule an appointment in CleanSlot

  1. Go to Appointments and click the appointment (or click Details on that row).
  2. In the appointment details, find the Scheduling section and click Edit.
  3. Change Start and optionally End (or Duration) to the new date and time. You can also change Crew size if needed.
  4. Click Save.

If you moved the appointment to a different day, CleanSlot sets the status to Awaiting confirmation and emails the customer a link. They can confirm the new time or cancel. If you only changed the time on the same day, the status does not change and no confirmation email is sent. You can still change the status yourself if you want to notify them another way.

What the customer receives when you reschedule to a different day

The customer gets an email with the new date and time and a link. When they open the link, they can click Confirm changes or Cancel appointment. Until they do, the appointment stays Awaiting confirmation in your list. After they confirm, it becomes Booked; if they cancel, it is Cancelled and the slot frees up.

Editing one appointment vs. the whole recurring series

If the appointment is part of a recurring series (e.g. weekly cleaning), you will see Edit appointment and Edit series at the top of the details. Use Edit appointment to change only this occurrence. Use Edit series to apply the new date or time to this and future occurrences in the series. Saving still follows the same rule: a different day (or price change) triggers the confirmation email for the affected appointment(s).
