How do I set or change my booking URL slug?

Set or edit the slug in Business settings in CleanSlot; your booking page is then available at yoursite.com/[slug]/book.

You set or change your slug in the General section of Business settings in CleanSlot. The slug is the part of your booking URL that identifies your business (e.g. your-company in yoursite.com/your-company/book). Only owners can edit it.

Where to find the slug setting in CleanSlot

  1. In the sidebar, go to Business.
  2. Click Business settings.
  3. In the General card, find Slug (with the note that your standalone booking page will be at cleanslot.com/[slug]/book).

How to set or change your slug

  1. Next to Slug, click the pencil icon to edit.
  2. Type the slug you want. CleanSlot converts it to lowercase and allows only letters, numbers, and hyphens (spaces become hyphens). The slug cannot be empty.
  3. Click Save. Click Cancel to discard changes.
  4. Your booking page is then at yoursite.com/[your-slug]/book. You can click the external link icon next to the slug to open that page in a new tab.

If you change the slug, your old booking link stops working. Share the new link with customers and update it anywhere you have the old URL (website, email signature, Installation page).

When to set or change your slug

Set the slug when you first set up CleanSlot so your booking page has a stable URL. Change it only if you rebrand or need a different URL (e.g. a shorter or clearer name). Remember that changing it breaks the previous link, so update any place you have shared it.
