You view payment history for an appointment from the Payment dialog in CleanSlot. Open Payment for that appointment, then switch to the History tab. You will see all payment attempts (Stripe charges and manual payments) with date, amount, status, and any failure reason. Only owners can open the Payment dialog and see history.
How to open payment history for an appointment in CleanSlot
- Go to Appointments and find the appointment (it should be Completed to have payment actions).
- Click Payment for that appointment.
- In the payment dialog, click the History tab (or open it if the dialog defaults to the Payment tab). You will see a table of payments: Date, Amount, Status, and Failure reason (if the attempt failed).
Each row is one attempt (a Stripe charge or a manual payment record). Statuses include Paid, Unpaid, Pending, Canceled, and others. If a charge failed, the failure reason (e.g. card declined) appears in the last column.
When there is no payment history
If no payments have been recorded yet, the History tab will show "No payments for this appointment." Once you charge with Stripe or record a manual payment, that entry appears in history. You can run multiple charges or manual records (e.g. partial payments) and they will all appear in the list.
Why view payment history?
Payment history shows what was charged or recorded and whether it succeeded. You can confirm that a charge went through, see why a charge failed, or check that a manual payment was recorded correctly. It helps with troubleshooting and with answering customer questions about what was paid and when.
