You manage business hours on the Schedule page in CleanSlot. Business hours define when your business is open for bookings. You set weekly hours, then use date overrides to close specific days or set different hours for a single date.
This is different from setting your own availability as a staff member. If you are part of the working staff, you manage your personal schedule separately so CleanSlot knows when you can be assigned to appointments.
Only owners see the Business schedule tab. In the sidebar, under Business, click Schedule. If you are an owner, use the Business schedule tab to manage business hours.
Set your weekly business hours
- On Schedule, open the Business schedule tab (owners only).
- In the Standard business hours card, you will see a table with each day of the week and Start and End time fields.
- For each day you are open, enter a Start time and an End time (for example 9:00 and 17:00).
- To mark a day as closed, leave both Start and End blank, or use the × button next to that row to clear the times.
- Click Save hours at the bottom of the card.
Times use the time zone set in Business settings. You can change your hours anytime; updates apply to future availability and do not change existing appointments.
Close a specific day
Use a date override to close one day so no one can book it, even if that weekday normally has hours.
- On Schedule, open the Business schedule tab and scroll to the Date overrides card.
- Use the Month and Year dropdowns so the month that contains the day you want to close is visible.
- In the Close a day section, click the date field and pick the date (or type it in).
- Click Close this day.
- The date appears in the overrides table with Hours shown as "Closed." Customers will not see any slots for that day.
You can close as many days as you need. To open the day again, remove the override (see "Remove a date override" below).
Set custom hours for a specific date
Use a date override when one day has different start or end times than your usual weekly pattern (for example a late start, early finish, or special event).
- On Schedule, open the Business schedule tab and scroll to the Date overrides card.
- Use the Month and Year dropdowns so the month that contains your date is visible.
- In the Custom hours section, enter the date you want to change.
- Enter a Start time and End time for that day (for example 10:00 and 14:00 for a shorter day).
- Click Set custom hours.
- The date appears in the overrides table with the times you set. Customers will only see slots between that start and end time on that date.
Times use your business time zone from Business settings. To remove the override later, use the steps in "Remove a date override" below.
Remove a date override
After you remove a business date override, that date uses your normal weekly business hours again (or is closed if that day of the week has no hours).
- On Schedule, open the Business schedule tab and scroll to the Date overrides card.
- Use the Month and Year dropdowns until the override you want to remove is visible in the table.
- Find the row for the date (the table shows Date and Hours; hours may show "Closed" or a time range).
- Click the × button at the end of that row (the button is labeled "Remove override" when you hover).
- The override is removed. If you had closed the day, it becomes available again for that weekday. If you had set custom hours, the date reverts to your usual start and end times for that weekday.
How business hours affect booking
Business hours are the default availability CleanSlot uses for the booking calendar. Customers only see time slots when the business is open and when enough team members are available. For personal schedules, see How do I set my availability as a staff member?. Setting business hours and overrides accurately avoids bookings on days or times you are not open and keeps your calendar in sync with how you run your business.
